Full Stride Adult Programs
Full Stride currently offers three different programs for adults who want to learn how to skate or learn to play hockey.
Learn to Play Hockey
This program is for adults who want to learn how to play hockey. The class meets each fall. Full Stride’s introductory course for those who are brand new to the game or who have very little experience. Participants will learn the basics of playing hockey such as skating, puck handling, shooting, and passing. Class meets every Sunday at Cairns Arena from 4:10 - 5:40. October 27 - December 15 2024
Instructional Hockey League (IHL)
This program is the next step for those who participated in the Learn to Play Hockey program, although that is not a requirement. The IHL meets each winter. Participants will continue to practice their skills learned in the Learn to Play Hockey program, and will begin to learn the rules of the game and some basic team-play concepts. Participants will be ready to play in the adult leagues by the conclusion. Class meets every Sunday at Cairns Arena from 4:10 - 5:40. January 12 - March 9 2025 (no class on Feb 9)
Learn to Skate
This program is adults who simply want to learn how to skate. Participants will learn the basics of ice skating and will learn more advanced skills as they progress. Class meets every Wednesday at Cairns Arena from 4:00 - 5:00.
*Please note* this class is part of our Youth Learn to Skate program. You will be on shared ice with youth skaters but will have your own group and instructor.
