Youth Learn to Play Hockey

Looking for a fun activity for your kids this winter? Want to play ice hockey without making such a large commitment of time and money? Learn how to play hockey at Full Stride! this program is for kids between the ages of 6-12yrs who want to learn how to play hockey. The session is 6 weeks long and runs on Sunday afternoons. Participants will learn the basics of skating as well as the basics of puck handling, shooting and passing. They will meet new friends, be active and engaged, and have a ton of fun!
This ice session is also an opportunity for kids who are currently playing on teams to get extra ice. They can work on skills that just aren't able to be covered during practices with their current team. These could include: goal scoring, puck handling, passing, and power skating.

John grew up loving the game of hockey as a kid playing for Clinton, NY (voted Kraft Hockeyville 2018). After two years playing for Berkshire Prep School, John returned home to play hockey at Hamilton College. His love of the game would not end after college. John has coached prep school Hockey for Vermont Academy and at the Portledge School, assisted our own Dan McFall coaching the Burlington High School team, and coached in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League on Long Island. John has been fortunate to coach many players who have gone on to play college, and some even to the NHL!
John currently lives in Clinton, NY with his wife Allie, their two kids Wyatt and Delilah, and their two dogs, Dash and Zeke.
