Youth Learn to Play Hockey
The Youth Learn to Play Hockey class is for boys and girls ages 4 and up. This program is for beginner hockey players who want to start playing hockey. Participants will learn the core basic skills of hockey with a strong emphasis on skating. At least 30 minutes of each hour will focus on skating. Puck control, passing and shooting will be learned as well. The Learn to Play Hockey Program is a great place for your hockey player to begin learning the game in a fun and encouraging environment.
No experience is necessary for this class. Players are required to have hockey skates, a hockey stick, and some kind of protective helmet. Shin pads, elbow pads, hockey pants (with butt protection), and hockey gloves are not required, but highly recommended. Play-It-Again Sports, Kevin Smith's, and Sports Central are all good places to find hockey equipment.
